15" MacBook Pro Right Thermal Sensor Replacement
Remove battery.

Three Phillips screws should be removed from the memory cover using a PH00 Phillips screw driver.

Remove the memory cover.

Remove two T6 Torx screws and four Phillips screws running along the screen hinge.

Lift the keyboard carefully. You will have to pry it up starting from the screen side working your way back to the trackpad. BE CAREFUL: There is a ribbon cable attached to the underside of the keyboard so lift carefully.

Remove the tape from the trackpad and keyboard connector. Disconnect the trackpad and ribbon cable connector from the logic board.

Disconnect the right fan cable from the logic board by lifting up underneath the connector.

Remove three T6 Torx screws on the right fan.

Lift the fan out of the case. The tape sticks to the heat sink a fair amount but once you get the tape separated, it comes off moderately easy.

Reassemble this device by following these instructions in reverse order.

Disconnect the right thermal sensor cable from the logic board by lifting up from underneath the connector with a plastic spudger.

Disconnect the right thermal sensor from the case by prying up on it from underneath with a plastic spudger. Remove tape as necessary.

Reassemble this device by following these instructions in reverse order.
